Arrived quickly, my husband and daughter said it was really difficult to put together, screws very small and takes some messing about. Once done it’s actually a nice enough bread store for the money, seems sturdy enough and very useful for space saving, I’m quite happy with it, time will tell if it lasts. Looks nice.

Very disappointed item defective 2 screw holes missing in the top of this meaning I cannot put it together. However only noticed this when halfway through putting up, meaning I now have to dismantle to send the item back. This also means i have to take this item to be sent and then wait 5-7 days to be refunded! Before I can then maybe purchase again from this seller or try my luck with someone else. Should be other options for the seller to be able to contact you to sent out the faulty part! This item is not cheap and should be quality checked before being boxed up.. see a few reviews like this and thought I would chance it anyway and now I’m left rather irritated

This comes flat pack so you have to build it. I'm sure it must have said it somewhere in the description - but I didn't spot it (normally, I'm pretty hot on this). The screws used to build it are absolutely tiny - they are a real pain to get any initial purchase on when screwing in. As it's bamboo, its difficult to get the screw to bite initially also. Pilot holes are ridiculously tiny, so all in all, they've made it as difficult as possible to actually screw it together. Took me about 45 minutes to build it - which is ridiculous. I build flat pack furniture/items all the time, so I'm no idiot when it comes to things like this. Having said all of the above - it does look great on the worktop once it's put together. There is loads of room for full loaves, cakes, pastries, flatbread, etc - so the storage space is fabulous. Nice to have the two tiers as well, so you can separate loaves from rolls, or pastries. In terms of keeping bread fresher for longer - I'm not really sure it makes a vast amount of difference. Maybe a day or two. And, if you don't check the stored items and something does go mouldy, you still get that horrid, musty smell. Would I buy it again - probably.

So the bread bin comes flat packed and I’ve just managed to fit it together in around 30 minutes give or take. It’s a little bit fiddly at times and someone holding the sides while I put the screws in would have made it easier but I did it on my own so it can be done! It’s quite sturdy and the door rolls up OK. The shelf and base are really good, thick and strong too so it can hold a bit of weight.. it’s strong enough to put things on the top too. I’m thinking my tea, coffee and sugar jars? I’ve dropped a star as it’s a little bit stiff as you get the roller door to the top although this could be my over tightening (i thought the tighter I did it the less chance the door has of coming off its runner!). If this gets annoying, I’ll try loosening the screws!. Also the screw driver that comes with it is reasonably good and will do its job but I found it so much easier using my own longer screw driver which saved me time and effort! All in all a good sturdy, good looking bread bin and I’m now looking forward to filling it 😁. I’ll come back if I find any problems after a few months of use. A suggestion to the company, SG Traders.. would be to provide little black caps to go over the screws and make the ‘SG’ that’s written on the side a bit smaller and fancier, it lets the side down (excuse the pun) It would finish it off perfectly!
