I think I like this sour dough kit. It seems to be working pretty well so far, and I don’t think there’s anything that I would say is “bad” about it. Personally I would’ve changed some of the items that it comes with (for example the dough whisk, which doesn’t seem to useful to me personally), but that’s just me. Here’s what I found I like about the kit: -It comes with instructions that are easy to follow -All the parts are included to start -It’s a really easy way to start making sour dough bread. -The tools are pretty self explanatory, and easy to use. And here’s what I don’t like about this kit: -It doesn’t come with any plastic scraper -I think a second jar would’ve been a bit more useful than some of the other items included -The dough whisk doesn’t seem very useful to me. I think I would’ve really liked a plastic scraper maybe instead of something else. I think it would’ve been a lot more useful to me, as I feel like every time I use the metal ones, I’m going to damage something. Especially with this one, as the edges can be a little sharp. The other thing is that I would’ve liked a second jar. It would make splitting it much easier, and possibly be good if you wanted to have a second starter. Overall, I think I like the kit. With this kit, I found I wasn’t scrambling because I was missing anything, compared to some other kits that I had given as gifts to friends (they’ve all told me they needed to buy something). I would say if you’re looking to get into making sour dough, this is pretty good, though I would say at $70 you could possibly get all of these things cheaper.
