[From my wife...] I've been making sourdough bread for a couple of years now, cobbling together the required items. So I was super pleased to get this baking set with all the gear. I set to making a batch. Each basket can accommodate 500g dough mix. The Danish whisk worked really well mixing the levin and warm water, but I had to be careful incorporating the flour as it was difficult to make sure all the side residue was incorporated. It's nice to have two different shaped baskets. The flour dredge worked well and gave even coverage of the cloths. (Note: my method involves proving the dough in a floured, cloth-lined basket with a tea-towel over the top. When proved, I slice a cut in the top and usually bake in a covered, cast iron pan.) After proving I liked the dough scraper, it was easy to hold and great to have a measure of centimetres one side and inches the other. The bread lame was efficient cutting the proven loaf before baking. Very sharp, comes with extra blades and a protective case, just what's needed to prevent collapse before the oven. (This time I did the round loaf my usual way, but turned the oval loaf out onto a flat sheet and cooked it "unsupported". This gives a flatter loaf but the elongated shape means consecutive slices are nearly the same size, so better for making sandwiches). Overall, an excellent set for artisan bakers.

He assures me that it's a well appointed collection of items, and he'd made a few loaves using the baskets and scraper and assorted accoutrements. And the bread was tasty! But for me, one of the primary drivers for this purchase was that the kit looks exactly like an Animal Crossing item. Just look at that pictuer. It's so cute! Recommended.

Got as a Gift for my baking mad niece, she loves it. The set is a full proofing kit for making bread, you'll not knead (wink) anything else. It has all the basic items like the proofing bowls and sheath, but also has the extras like the Flour duster and Lame (which is very well made and allows you to make lovely designs on your bread). This kit makes it even easier to make artisan type bread that you will pay a hefty price for from a top quality baker. The baskets are very well made and solid and will hold up to being dropped and being knocked, the extra items are all solid and well made as well, with the flour duster a great touch, allowing you to really make you bread looks yummy. Overall a very happy niece and a great kit, get one! you won't regret it.

I was so excited about this purchase as I’ve just started baking sourdough bread, thinking this will be a good addition. The bread stuck to the baskets after I added so much flour to it not to stick! The baskets are small so make sure you take measurements. The storage basket is small and will only take the utensils. The rubbed egg wash is also not good for the environment as it is all made of plastic. The only great thing is the metal scraper!
