A well made nine piece set of equipment to make sour dough bread. It has the mixing handle, razor blades with handle to score the top, and silicone edge scraper. There is a ratan bread boat that I really like as I make my dough and keep in the basket for a day or three in fridge to get more gluten action. An excellent starter set for the person who is new to making own bread as well as a very valued set for those who are old timers in making home-made breads. A welcome addition to my kitchen.

If you didn't get into baking during the lockdowns, it's not too late. The last few years I've been seeing kits like this popping up all over. For a beginning baker, this has everything you need to get started. In terms of quality, the dough whisk could be about 3 inches longer--I generally use a 13-inch whisk--and the handle on the bench scraper could be a bit more comfortable. But that can be corrected with some sandpaper easily enough. So I won't dock them a star for either of those things. The basket is excellent quality, and if you trust America's Test Kitchen, they also recommend rattan baskets over silicone, bagasse, plastic, metal, glass, etc. for a final dough proof. It just has the right blend of rigidity, absorption, breathability, and so on. And this basket definitely lives up to that. I, personally, don't see the need for the silicone lifter, but some people like it, so it doesn't hurt to have one. Everything else is decent quality and should hold up fine until you've leveled up your skills and are ready to upgrade your gear. At that point, keep the basket, and toss or hand down everything else. Overall, this is a great beginner set at a fantastic price, and it even comes in a brown paper package tied up with string....Julie Andrews would be so proud!
